UFEG students presented their group project “Rave-Ready Groove” at Ukrainian Fashion Week FW26-27 in the format of a live exposition and the digital show you are watching on screen.

“Rave-Ready Groove” is an observation by young designers on how the rhythm of everyday life is transforming. Climate change, the relentless pace of major cities, and the experience of living through war are dismantling familiar scenarios — night has long ceased to be a time reserved only for sleep and rest. In different corners of the world, someone is finally stepping outside after the heat of the day, someone is heading to a party, and someone is calling colleagues across the ocean. Meanwhile, we Ukrainians carry out our daily routines whenever the lights come back on at home after enemy strikes on infrastructure.

In this shifted perspective, rave culture naturally re-emerges — as a space of movement, community, and bodily freedom. For a new generation, rave is more than a wild party; it is a state of being where endurance, adaptability, and the desire to live intensely coexist — despite everything.

Our exposition at the main venue of Ukrainian Fashion Week was literally resonant: DJs played on-site, creating that very groove — the rhythm that sets the mood and energy of the entire collection. Guests encountered looks at the intersection of functionality and rave culture: silhouettes, materials, and stylistic choices responding to new needs — to look expressive, move freely, and stay composed within the dynamic of the night. The UFEG student collection offers a reimagining of the familiar categories of “work,” “rest,” and “leisure,” seeking new hybrid wardrobe formulas — from ready-to-wear to ready-to-rave.
